And while there is usually a huge focus on how to increase RPMs and get more Adsense or how to get more Brand Deals, I wanted to give you some simple but unique alternatives to monetizing on YouTube:
While some of these might seem too obvious, many Creators are overlooking simple ways they can make more money with the content they already have. With live streaming on multiple platforms, you can earn more potential revenue and promote offers to more people. However, many creators also don't realize they can insert more manual ad breaks into live streams and earn substantially more money. By using the YouTube Community Tab, you can promote with text links and images, as well as polls and quizzes, and link to something to sell directly to your audience, whether it is one of your own products or an affiliate link, all without having to interrupt a video. The pinned comments in your existing video content also give you an opportunity to get your most engaged audience to click on a link that you can monetize. Updating this for older videos that are still getting views could instantly earn you more money. While YouTube has already removed links from YouTube Shorts, if you edit QR Codes into your Shorts videos going forward, you can still link people off of the platform and sell to them or push affiliate links such as the Amazon Influencer Program. Then there is the YouTube Shopping Affiliate Program, which competes with Amazon and, in some cases, offers better commissions. This is a huge opportunity that many Creators are overlooking or are unfamiliar with. With the YouTube Shopping Affiliate Program, you can go back to even your older videos and tag products from multiple vendors, and these will appear as interactive items within a video. if viewers purchase (similar to Amazon), you earn a commission that is added to your YouTube Partner Program Revenue. By adding this to older videos, you end up with more opportunities to earn.

I genuinely believe the future of YouTube will be having a global audience through AI DUBBING. I talked about this with Derral Eves, a strategist who worked directly with MrBeast, who revealed that this has been the secret to his growth and why he is on his way to being the biggest YouTube Channel of all time. I talked with the VP of Products at YouTube, and he confirmed that YouTube believes in this global vision. YouTube and Google plan to rollout AI Audio Dubbing via ALOUD later this year, with all Creators most likely having access to it by sometime in 2025. YouTube Shorts are here to stay. However, YouTube is replacing traditional TV more and more and is currently outperforming NETFLIX. As a result, I predict more and more Creators will focus on evergreen storytelling content between 16-40 minutes or more. This type of content will also focus more on production rather than just hard and fast edits. IRL videos and IRL streaming will come to represent more of the standard of YouTube, ironically in some ways returning to its roots with produced and lightly scripted or fully scripted content. One format you can look forward to seeing expand is collaborative and interactive content between established and rising creators that have no overlapping niche. Creators will collaborate more with each other, even without a shared audience, just to have more opportunities for discovery and awareness.
